This DIY half cage project for the Canon R50V is meant to give a bigger, more comfortable grip to your camera while adding an Arca Swiss base for tripod mounting.

This cage doesn't cover up the battery door, so you still have easy access to change your batteries or memory card.

Please note that this project requires some hardware to be completed, which you will have to purchase yourself.

Materials needed:

• 1 roll of PETG filament
• 1 roll of TPU filament
• 1 roll of PA filament (optional)
• 1/2'' long 1/4-20 button head screws (x2)
• M2 x 12mm button head screws (x2)
• 1/4 - 20 x 6mm threaded inserts (x2)

Tools used for the project: 

• 3D printer
• Screwdriver 
• Soldering iron with insert kit

Recommended print settings:

PETG / Nylon:

• 6mm Nozzle
• 5 walls
• 50% gyroid infill

TPU:

• 6mm Nozzle
• 2 walls
• 15% gyroid infill
